We are studying: Claim the Life: Journey. An invitation to the journey of faith through spiritual formation, discipleship, Christian community and faith knowledge.
Describe your class: Students with lots of energy and opinions on everyday life. Each Sunday we learn, share, pray, & encourage each other. We are active in UMYF, go on retreats, & participate in CARITAS & White Christmas & Mission Trips

Senior High

We are studying: Bookmarks - Bible Explorations for Older Youth

Describe your class: Laid back free form discussion. Typical ages include college students through mid-thirties, but all are welcome!

What are you studying: Bible centered studies to help us live our faith in today's society.
Describe your class: Loving, family oriented, welcoming.
Activities: Beach Retreat Weekend, Christmas Party, Serves dinner at Freedom House (2nd Friday each month), Summer Camping Trip, Caritas, Tutoring, Upward Basketball, Mission Projects, etc…

New Spirit

Describe your class: We are a multi-generational group that enjoys supporting, sharing & growing in our faith. Discussions are usually lively as we serve Christ in our personal & professional lives. In addition to meeting on Sunday mornings, we get together often to socialize.

Kirkie Powell

We are studying: Adult Bible Studies
Describe your class: We are a mixed age group. Our teacher goes over the lesson & leads a discussion of the material to apply the scripture to our lives today. Our greatest asset is the feeling that we are a family. We care for each other & have a strong sense of fellowship. We donate each year to various causes & support many church programs & missions as well. New members are welcome.
Activities: Yard Sale, Christmas Dinner, Picnic, etc...

Wesley Davis

Describe your class: Most members have read the lesson and come prepared to discuss the material. What follows is an open discussion of the scripture and how it applies to lives today and how we can improve our Christian lives and be a disciple for Christ in our everyday lives. Always willing to help, whatever the need. A caring group of people.
Activities: Visit church members & shut-ins, Volunteer at The Hermitage, Ice Cream Socials, Potluck dinners, Picnics, Christmas dinner

Escuela Dominical

Junior and Senior High

Location: Education Wing

Teacher: Milton Bonilla
We are studying: The youth will be studying the “the youth and their environment” during the months of September through November. During the month of December, they will be introduced to the advent season. They will be focusing on how to respond to Christ in Christmas. For the beginning of the new year they will take a trip through the book of Psalms, which is a study that will last until the month of May.

Adults

Location: Education Wing
Room: 203
Teacher: Norma Aguilar & Maria Rodriguez
We are studying: Joshua and the Israelites conquering the promised land. It is basically a bible based study. What we do is outline and highlights the most important events in the life of Joshua as a leader called by God and as well as those who were fighting by his side supporting his leadership. We will be finishing this study on Oct. 14th. Our next study will be based in the book of Genesis, which is a bible based study that will last for 13 weeks, which will start on Oct. 21 through January the 27th. From January 6th through May 25th we’ll adventure on the books of Judges and the book of Ruth, both at the same time.
