The Christian Education Ministry Team is sponsoring a covered-dish breakfast on November 16 in the CLC at 9:30. All of Ramsey is invited to unite for fellowship and recognition of the importance of Christian Education in our church and community. Please bring your favorite breakfast dish to share and enjoy a meal with your Ramsey family.
NOVEMBER 23—UMW Bake Sale in Fellowship Hall and CLC Foyer! Don’t miss your chance to stock up for the Thanksgiving holiday. Help the UMW missions and save yourself time in the kitchen by supporting this worthy cause.

NEW FURNACE FUNDRAISER
The old furnace needs replacement before the beginning of the heating season, so we are embarking on a $75 for 75°. Please contribute $75 (or what you can +/-) to help with this church need.
Read the bulletin board in the narthex for more information and watch the themometer rise during this fundraising project.
Upward Basketball
Share the love of Jesus Christ and be involved in our church and community
Help needed with:
Coaching, prayer partners, scorekeeping, devotions, refereeing, photography, greeters, concessions

Sanctuary Flowers
If you would like to place flowers to honor a special person in your life, remember a loved one, celebrate a special occasion – please call the church office.
Please remember to bring your newspapers to the church’s recycle bin in the back parking lot! Bring your aluminum cans for us to recycle in the downstairs hallway (beside the drink machine). OR in the aluminum shed next to the red barn in the rear of the church. The proceeds will go to support our church’s building fund!

Health and Wellness: Weight Loss and Balanced Living Program
Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. in Room 105
Designed to empower participants to overcome temptations & make lasting lifestyle changes. If you would like to make a healthy change, come check it out. Join at any time! Contact Sue Newman if you have any questions or would like to participate.
There are a ton of great books in our Library - come and check them out and grow in your faith through knowledge!
If you have any pictures, newspaper articles or other memorabilia of our church’s history, please bring them to church. Include the name of the event, the date and the names of any of the people in the picture. Be sure to put your name on the back if you want the materials returned to you. Thank you for your help.

STEWARDSHIP NEWS
Envelopes are available so you can designate your money to a specific place/cause in our church. If you place the donation in someone’s name – they will receive an acknowledgement card. Here is a chance to give something meaningful and lasting!
See a Stewardship Committee member to learn more about a new opportunity to give appreciated stocks/bonds, tangible personal property, intangible personal property or real estate and show support for Ramsey Memorial UMC’s ministries.
Consider setting up an automatic bank draft for church offerings. Instead of writing a check each week or month – your bank can automatically take the money out of your account, send it to the church for you and it will be credited toward your pledge.
Call your bank to set this up!

Tape Ministry
The 11 o’clock worship service is taped every Sunday. If you know someone who would like to receive a copy each week – please see the sound person in the back of the church.
EMPTY BOWLS Soup Dinner
In support of Freedom House - October 21, 2008
Ramsey Memorial will sponsor an Empty Bowls dinner to raise funds to provide services & programs for the hungry and those living in a housing crisis.
Local professional potters & art students make & donate soup bowls to Freedom House. Local churches host the event, providing 2 – 4 different soups, bread, drink, and a desert.
You need to purchase tickets in advance and pick your bowl as a way to remember the face of hunger in our community.
More to come! We need 4 volunteer groups to host a kettle of soup for 60 people each. Contact Dick Guilmart, 739-4205.
Acolytes Needed
If you are in the 2nd Grade or older – you can be an important part of the worship service. Training will be provided. See Lisa Taylor if interested!
White Christmas - December 21st
Sunday School classes, UMW Circles, & congregation sponsor families & individuals in need. Food baskets, clothing & toys are provided. Mark your calendars to help in this important community mission.
