Stewardship

The Stewardship Committee has made big plans for the next couple of months. On September 23, we will have our Ministry Fair. This was a big success last year and we hope this one will be even better. After a covered dish lunch, we will walk around the CLC and look at all the exhibits and displays showcasing our activities and outreach missions. This is your chance to ask questions to find out where your interests and abilities lie, and where you might want to join in.

During September, we will be looking for volunteers to make a few phone calls to other church members, reminding them to be at church on Commitment Sunday. If we ask you to help with this please say “Yes!”

October 21 is Commitment Sunday, when we will turn in our commitment booklets and pledges for 2008. Our guest speaker will be Rev. Linwood Cook. Following the 11:00 service, we will have a delicious lunch catered by New Visions/New Ventures to celebrate a successful campaign.

As you consider your financial pledge for next year, read the article in this newsletter by Jim Branscome. You might remember him as our Stewardship speaker last year. His message is well written, thought provoking and very appropriate.

Please continue to give generously as a response to all you have been given. Ramsey Church has been called to do great things and we need your support.
